Testimonials

I have worked with Regan and Mark on five new build super yachts over the last three years ranging from forty to sixty seven metres in length. During this time they have tackled the full spectrum of fairing and painting work, often working to tight deadlines. I honestly believe they achieve world class standards and the yachts they have completed speak for themselves. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone contemplating refit or new build painting or fairing work.

Dave Way - Exterior finishing Manager

Alloy Yachts

I have been involved with supplying coating systems and technical support for numerous projects which were faired and painted by Super Yacht Coatings International. The standard of finish that can be found in the super yacht painting industry is not easily achievable.

Their willingness to follow our coating specifications to the letter, coupled with a the skill, workmanship and experience needed to apply our top quality products correctly, ensures that each customer receives not only the best finish available but also this finish will stand the test of time.

I would not hesitate in recommending Super Yacht Coatings for any job, be it large or small, new build or refit. I look forward to working with this team of professionals in the near future.

This Testimonial is to confirm that the Super Yacht Coatings International team, were hired to spray the finish coats of Awlgrip Awlcraft SE, and Awlcraft 2000 on to the Diverse Projects hull of Black Pearl in December 2010.

The colour of the Awlcraft SE (Special Effect), was a dark pigmented charcoal with light pearlescent and metallic, and needed to be sprayed on with technique to achieve evenness, followed by the application of Awlcraft 2000 clear, to create the brilliance.

The SYC team worked professionally and achieved the desired result first time, making this the first paint job of its type in New Zealand

Yacht Coatings New Zealand

We hereby give testimony that Super Yacht Coatings has used DuPont Refinish coatings and worked within the technical guidelines and support offered by our technical Rep in Auckland to successfully coat a marine project undertaken in 2009.

At this time the head painters from SYCI underwent Marine Application Training at our Auckland DuPont Refinish Training facility. We would be happy to recommend the SYCI head painters as being proficient in the application of our solid and metallic DuPont Marine Finish Product Processes.

This last major project that took place in 2009 achieved results that still impress the onboard captain, such that we have recently received photos of the still impressive gloss finish and overall quality.

We are pleased to benefit from word of mouth inquiries as a result of that project.

Gattopardo VI arrived in Auckland, New Zealand from the Mediterranean in January 2015. Our plan was for a twelve week refit period in Titan Marine Engineering shipyard that was to include Lloyds Special Survey and repainting of the topsides.

Super Yacht Coatings International were recommended to me from various parties as the preferred company to carry out the painting works.

Inevitably the original project grew and went on to include the complete removal of the stainless steel rubbing strake, this area was then faired and painted. Painting of the topsides up to upper deck level and painting of the foredeck and bulwark areas using an Awlgrip paint system.

All the work was carried out on time to my entire satisfaction in what at times were challenging conditions as the below waterline areas were being grit blasted at the same time.

Regan has an excellent team of professionals behind him with special thanks going to Wesley and Cas for their attitude and flexibility and of course the ever happy Buster!

I would recommend Super Yacht Coatings to any visiting superyacht captain who is considering having paint works carried out during their stay in New Zealand.
